I feel like I haven’t been here for a while. It’s been two weeks. I decided to skip a week because this post was starting to feel monotonous. My weight is coming off so slowly I feel like there isn’t much to report every week. So, I’ll be posting every other week from now on. Let’s take a look at how I’ve done the last two weeks.
Stats
Weight: 164 lbs.
Arms: 11.75 inches
Chest: 40.75 inches
Waist: 32.5 inches
Hips: 42 inches
Thighs: 23.75 inches
Over the course of the last two weeks I’ve lost 2 pounds. I’ll tell you, it feels really good to be on the lower end of the 160’s finally. When I was stuck on the high end of the 160’s it was hard to imagine that I’d ever get into the 150 range. Now I can see it and I’m excited again.
Diet
I made some big changes to my diet program over the last two weeks. I stopped logging Weight Watchers and started counting calories instead, using MyFitnessPal. I’ve used MFP in the past and I really love it. The reason I prefer WW is because there is less logging. But, in the last two years, I took a long break from WW and now that Iv’e been back to it I find that the changes they’ve made to the program just aren’t working well for me. I was overeating. Granted, I was overeating on good things like veggies, fruit and lean meat but when I logged my calories into MFP I found that I was not creating the calorie deficit I needed to lose weight. I was mostly breaking even. So, I changed things up. I am now keeping my calorie consumption at 1200 a day.
Over the last two weeks I have done very well with creating a deficit. Most days I was over the 1200 mark but not by much. Maybe 50-100 calories. Except for yesterday. Yesterday was bad. I probably gained a whole pound back in 6 hours. I went to a bridal shower and they had all kinds of different “bars.” Mimosa bar, salad bar, coffee bar, dessert bar and a freaking avocado toast bar. I’m certain I consumed 3 days worth of calories in those few hours. Yummm….avocado toast and mimosas.
Exercise
I’m not happy with my efforts to workout. I can’t seem to motivated myself to put in cardio time. Three to four days a week I’ve been doing some short (15 minutes) weight based workouts. But, nothing I feel has really pushed me. Mostly they are videos on YouTube I’ve been going to for a couple years now so my muscles are used to the routine and are not at all challenged by them. I’m hoping my motivation will kick in now that the weather is cooling down. If I can manage a few good runs a week I would have this weight off in no time.
Wrap Up
I made some serious changes to my diet plan over the last two weeks. Now I want to focus on my workout plan. If I could get the two working together I feel like I’d be unstoppable. As always, motivation is my biggest enemy. We’ll see what the next two weeks has in store.
How are you doing in your journey? I’d love to hear about it and cheer you on! Thanks for reading. Don’t forget to like, share, comment, whatever.
After I lost the 50 lbs I haven’t been able to loose anymore. I keep bouncing back and forth between losing and gaining. I know it will pass but it makes me want to just give up and go on a pizza and wine binge. Lol! And then with the holidays coming up….and my baking obsession I’ve developed….well, let’s just say we’ll see what happens on the other side of the holidays. Lol! I’m not going off plan, because it works for me (in fact it’s the only thing that ever has worked for me), but I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up breaking even during the season. I have minimal hope for more loss right now.
